Coroner IDs Victims Of Apparent Murder-Suicide In Naperville
Two people who were found dead after an apparent murder-suicide on Crabapple Court have been identified as a woman, 42, and a man, 49.
NAPERVILLE, IL — A man and a woman who were found dead Tuesday after an apparent murder-suicide on Crabapple Court have been identified by the DuPage County Coroner.
The woman was identified as Karen Easton, 42, of the 1300 block of Crabapple Court in Naperville. The man was identified as Lynn Easton, 49, of Rives Junction, Michigan.
Multiple gunshot wounds were listed as the preliminary cause of death for Karen Easton, DuPage County Coroner Richard Jorgensen wrote in a news release Thursday morning. Lynn Easton's preliminary cause of death was listed as an "intraoral gunshot wound."

2 Dead In Apparent Murder-Suicide In Naperville: Cops
Naperville police were called to an apartment in the 1300 block of Crabapple Court around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday for a domestic incident. Officers set up a perimeter around the home and tried to contact those inside before members of the Naperville Special Response Team went into the apartment.

Police first located Karen Easton, who was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead. Lynn Easton was found dead a short time later with a gunshot wound that appeared to be self-inflicted, according to Naperville police.
The investigation is ongoing and Jorgensen wrote that the official cause and manner of death for both individuals would be shared at a later date.
