NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in connection with a shot-fired incident that took place downtown on July 11.

Police were called to the 100 block of West Jackson Avenue around 11:40 p.m. for a report that a shot had been fired. Witnesses told police two men approached two separate groups following an earlier altercation. One of the men fired a single shot before both men fled on foot.

No one was hurt in the incident and police say the members of the second group dispersed before officers got to the scene.

The suspects were described as follows:

  • A black man between the ages of 18 and 20 with a light complexion, short hair and a stocky build, standing approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was last seen wearing no shirt and dark pants. He was reportedly armed with a handgun.
  • A black man between the ages of 18 and 20 with a light complexion and short hair, standing between 5 feet and 5 feet 2 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a light-colored tank top, light pants and a light cloth over his face.
