NAPERVILLE, IL — The number of new coronavirus inpatients at Edward Hospital in Naperville is on the rise again after a recent decrease, according to information from hospital spokesperson Keith Hartenberger. At press time, Edward Hospital is treating seven inpatients with coronavirus.

The new numbers reflect a slight increase in coronavirus patients at Edward Hospital. As of July 27, the hospital was treating four coronavirus inpatients. Three patients who recovered from coronavirus were discharged in the last 72 hours, Hartenberger said Monday.

Since March 24, 446 patients have recovered from coronavirus and been discharged from Edward Hospital, according to Hartenberger. In total, there have been 46 coronavirus-related deaths at the facility.

Edward Hospital is placing a decorative daffodil outside the hospital to honor each patient who has recovered from coronavirus.
