Icy Weather Delays Trash Pickup In Naperville

Residential routes were halted on Wednesday.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Icy road conditions prompted Waste Management to halt residential pickup on Wednesday for multiple Illinois towns, including Naperville. Trash and recycling pickup will be delayed by one day.

"While road conditions are improving in the Naperville area, poor road conditions in several communities south of Naperville have resulted in suspension of Waste Management collection equipment that travels to Naperville from the south and southwest suburbs," the city said in a news release. "All curbside recycling will be collected today, but may be slightly delayed."

The City of Naperville’s Public Works department are working to salt all City roadways and will continue until all roadways are salted.
