NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville native James Holzhauer is back on the "Jeopardy!" stage again. The professional gambler who made history with a 32-game winning streak in spring of 2019, is competing in the "Jeopardy!" Tournament of Champions.

Holzhauer returned to the game Wednesday, winning the first round of the Tournament of Champions with $30,635. With this win, he advances to the semi-finals Nov. 11 and 12. A win in the semi-finals would put Holzhauer in the finals, which are slated for Nov. 13 and 14.

Holzhauer, who won a total of $2,464,216 over his history-making streak, became famous for giving "shoutouts" to his grandmother, daughter, and other family members.

During Wednesday's final Jeopardy! round, Holzhauer mentioned that he didn't put any shoutouts beneath his answer. He did, however, wager just $326, telling host Alex Trebek that March 26 is his nephew's birthday.
