Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams Now Open On Main Street

NAPERVILLE, IL — Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream is now open on Main Street in Naperville, serving up dozens of buttercream-based ice cream flavors.

The ice cream parlor hosted a grand opening celebration Nov. 18. The Naperville Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream is the second scoop shop the chain opened in Illinois outside of Chicago.

The flavors at Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream run the gamut from traditional chocolate to inventive creations that include skillet cinnamon roll, brambleberry crisp and gooey butter cake. The shop also serves up seasonal flavors for a limited time. Their holiday flavors range from cognac with gingerbread to Mexican hot chocolate.

On its website, Jeni's writes that they "don’t use synthetic flavorings, dyes, or off-the-shelf mixes." They add that they "prefer the complex process of building texture and flavor" without the use of "a long list of stabilizers and emulsifiers."

In addition, Jeni's states that they source "only compostable bowls, spoons and napkins."

Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream is open at 218 S. Main St. every day from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.
