Naperville Last Fling 2017 Guide: Fun Lasts All Weekend Long

Say farewell to summer with races, food, rides, games and live music.

NAPERVILLE, IL — The Naperville Jaycees will usher in the end of summer and Labor Day weekend with the annual Last Fling, set for Sept. 1 to 4 at Rotary Hill, Centennial Park, Naper Settlement and Jackson Avenue in downtown Naperville. This year's event offers up live music, events for beer and wine lovers, family friendly activities, races, games, a parade and plenty of food.

Admission is free, although food, carnival tickets and most concerts will cost you. You can also make cash donations to Hurricane Harvey relief at ticket and beverage sale booths.

Hours

  • 5 to 11 p.m. Friday
  • 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
  • 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday

Carnival

  • The carnival is open for the duration of the Last Fling on Jackson Avenue. Unlimited ride passes are $30 per day and Mega Passes are $49.99 before the fling and $60 at the event. On Sunday during Special Needs Day, patrons with special needs will get exclusive, priority, no-wait seating with special wristband from 10 a.m. to noon.

Monday - Free admission on Rotary Hill, and military veterans and guests get in free in the sponsor's tent with proper military ID

  • 4 p.m. Infinity

Races

Diaper crawl derby: Babies can get in on the fun with a race at 1 p.m. Saturday n the special events tent at Family Fun Land at Naper Settlement, 523 S. Webster St..

The Fling Mile is at 8:45 a.m. and the Rooster 5K is at 9 a.m. Monday. The races begin at Naperville Central High School, 440 Aurora Ave. Find information on registration, parking and packet pick up here.

Rib cook off

The competition starts at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Porter Parking Lot on Porter Avenue south of the Naper Settlement. Here's what you need to know about the rules.

Beer and wine tasting

Sample craft beers and wine from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Rotary Hill. Register here.

Family Fun Land

There's something for everyone in the family at Naper Settlement, including pony rides, a petting zoo, bounce houses, crafts, a family entertainment stage and and a business expo.

Meet a Disney star

Guests can meet Miranda May, "Lou" on the Disney Channel's "Bunk'd," from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Family Fun Land.

Singing at the Fling

The competition starts at 10 a.m. Saturday in Family Fun Land, leading up to the finale — and live main stage performances at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Rotary Hill, 443 Aurora Ave.

Parade

The Gerald Kia Labor Day parade steps off at 10 a.m. Monday in downtown Naperville.
