Naperville Man Caught With Underage Girl At Preserve: Cops
A Naperville man is charged with child luring and criminal sexual abuse.

PLAINFIELD, IL — A 25-year-old Naperville man caught with an underage girl at Plainfield's Mather Woods now faces felony charges. Scott Flanagan of the 1100 block of Needham Road, was arrested Saturday morning after a concerned citizen reported seeing "suspicious activity in a vehicle" parked at the forest preserve on Renwick Road, according to the Will County Sheriff's Office.
Spokeswoman Kathy Hoffmeyer said deputies responded to the call at around 11:45 a.m. Saturday and spoke with both Flanagan and the underage girl. The pair told deputies they had met via a social media site and previously met in person on two or three other occasions, according to Hoffmeyer.
Flanagan was brought to the sheriff's investigations division, where he "made statements implicating himself," police said. He was charged with child luring, criminal sexual abuse, and traveling to meet a minor.
