Naperville Park District Holding Blood Drives In May, June

The park district recently added two more dates to its list of blood drives.

NAPERVILLE, IL — With blood drives canceled throughout the area due to the new coronavirus shutdown, the Naperville Park District has partnered with Versiti Blood Centers to host several socially distant blood donation drives in May and June. The blood drives will be held in the Community Hall at Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, located at 305 W. Jackson Ave., Naperville.

The following dates and timeframes are available for those wanting to donate blood:

  • May 16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • May 21 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • May 28 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • June 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

To encourage safe social distancing during blood donations, donors can make an appointment. You can schedule an appointment by calling call 800-7TO-GIVE, visiting the Versiti Blood Centers website or downloading and using the Versiti Donor app.
