National Night Out In Naperville Breaking Records
A record 44 neighborhoods in Naperville are registered to host National Night Out events on Aug. 1.

NAPERVILLE, IL -- A record 44 neighborhoods throughout the City of Naperville are participating in this year's National Night Out on Aug. 1. The Naperville Police Department said it is the highest number in at least five years.
The deadline for neighborhoods to sign up to the 21st annual event was on July 15. This year's participation outshines last year's event, which saw 35 neighborhoods participating.
The events will last from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. throughout the city. Neighborhoods will host all sorts of events like block parties, potlucks, parades and more. The annual get-together is informally known as "America's Night Out Against Crime."
