NAPERVILLE, IL — Around 3:30 a.m. on Monday, Samuel Liam Rogers was booked into the Will County Adult Detention Facility by the Naperville Police Department. Rogers, 18, has been charged with felony counts of disorderly conduct and harassment through electronic communications. A criminal complaint at the Will County Courthouse states that on Sunday, April 22, Rogers threatened to kill one of the school administrators at Neuqua Valley High School.
Besides wanting one of his school officials killed, Rogers "knowingly transmitted to another a threat of destruction of a school, namely he threatened to shoot up Neuqua Valley High School on Snapchat regardless of whether or not school was in session at the time of the threat," his complaint states.
Five days later, Rogers remains incarcerated in downtown Joliet and he was slated to go before a Will County judge on Friday seeking to have his bail lowered to a more reasonable amount.
