• Fire Causes $40K In Damage To Garage In Naperville (patch.com) — Naperville firefighters quickly contained a Wednesday afternoon blaze that caused about $40,000 in damage to a detached garage on the 30W000 block of Argyll Lane. Crews had the fire under control within minutes, no injuries were reported, and the nearby home was not damaged while the cause remains under investigation.

• Federal Jury in Chicago Convicts U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officer on Civil Rights Charges for Sexually Assaulting and Robbing Women (justice.gov) — A federal jury has convicted a U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer for sexually assaulting and robbing women in Naperville and Schaumburg while acting under color of law. The 45-year-old faces at least seven years to life in federal prison after being found guilty on civil rights and firearm charges, with sentencing set for January 2027.
