Underwear Thief Gets 180 Days for Child Porn

The Naperville man was given credit for 203 days served. He must also complete 30 months of probation and register as a sex offender.

NAPERVILLE, IL — A 27-year-old Naperville man found with numerous pairs of girls’ underwear and child porn stored on a cloud drive was sentenced to 180 days in jail Wednesday, but was given credit for 203 days served.

Lafayette Riley, 27, was arrested back in May at his apartment in the 700 block of Inland Circle, according to the Chicago Tribune. Officers had been tipped off by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

DuPage County prosecutors said Riley had stolen numerous pairs of underwear from his apartment complex’s laundry area. Investigators also found the child porn on Riley’s computer.

Riley was given 30 months of probation. He also must register as a sex offender and receive counseling if an evaluation deems it appropriate, according to the Tribune.

Riley was ordered to stay away from minor females and to pay $2,342 in fines and fees.
