Video Sparks Protests At Naperville Gas Station
The protesters stood outside the gas station despite 90-degree temperatures.
NAPERVILLE, IL — Despite excessive heat warnings and temperatures above 90 degrees, dozens of demonstrators gathered outside of Bucky's Mobil gas station in Naperville chanting "Hate has no home here" and holding signs that read "Racism is not Patriotism." They were gathered in protest of a video shared online that showed a Bucky's clerk telling Latino customers, "You're in the wrong country."
A formal protest was organized by the group Aurora Rapid Response Team, but protesters had been outside of the gas station for most of the day.
