Laraway 911 Executive Director Dies

Visitation for Bradley Veerman will be Tuesday at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox.

NEW LENOX, IL - The Kurtz Funeral Chapel in New Lenox is handling the funeral arrangements for a long-time member of the Lincoln-Way and Joliet public safety community. Bradley Veerman, 54, died unexpectedly on Friday in Hoffman Estates, his obituary states. He worked as the executive director of the Laraway 911 Communications and he was a Will County Forest Preserve Police Officer.

His obituary notes that he previously worked as a police officer in New Lenox and Frankfort and was the former communications center director at the Lincolnway Public Safety 911. He had retired as a captain from the East Joliet Fire Protection District.

"Brad started his career with Kurtz Ambulance at the age of 16 and remains part of the Kurtz family today," his obituary notes.

Visitation at Kurtz Memorial Chapel in New Lenox is from 3 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10. The funeral for Veerman will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesay in the funeral home chapel with interment at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Joliet.
