Walgreens Booze Thieves Caught: Cops

A 40" television was among the items reported stolen from WalMart over the past week.

The following information is from the New Lenox Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Warrant Arrest

Nicholas Kemp-Bystrzycki, 23, of the 200 block of Ash Street was arrested at 1:31 a.m. on Feb. 20 at Cedar Road and Gum Street on an outstanding warrant. An officer conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle for investigative purposes. The officer learned that the driver, Kemp-Bystrzycki, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

Criminal Damage to Property

An officer was dispatched to the Countryview Park at 7:55 a.m. on Feb. 20 in reference to a complaint of criminal damage to property. The complainant advised that an unknown person(s) on ATVs damaged the grass.

An officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Third Avenue in reference to a complaint of criminal damage to property at 2:31 p.m. on Feb. 21. The complainant advised that an unknown person(s) broke two of the windows on their building.

Retail Theft

An officer was dispatched to WalMart in reference to a complaint of a retail theft at 10:06 p.m. on Feb. 21. The complainant advised that a 40” television was stolen from the store.

An officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a complaint of a retail theft at 2:27 p.m. on Feb. 22. The complainant advised that subject(s) stole boxes of Crest White Strips from the store.

An officer was dispatched to Walmart at 2:27 p.m. on Feb. 22 in reference to a complaint of a retail theft. The complainant advised that an unknown subject took electronic items from the store and exited the store without paying for them.

Johnny L. Lyles, 25, Joliet was charged with retail theft and Denzzel D. McCullum, 19, Joliet was charged with retail theft and an outstanding warrant in the 400 block of Nelson Road on Feb. 21 at 7:31 p.m. The officer was dispatched to Walgreens in reference to a retail theft of liquor. The complainant advised that two subjects stole alcohol and provided a description of the offenders and a description of the vehicle that they left the store in. A Will County Deputy stopped a vehicle containing Lyles, McCullum and the stolen liquor and contacted the NLPD. The officer learned that McCullum also had an outstanding Will County Warrant for his arrest.

Shyanne L. Maynor, 18, of the 600 block of Old Hickory was charged with retail theft WalMart at 6:16 p.m. on Feb. 26. The officer met with store security and learned that Maynor was stopped exiting the store with an electronics that she did not pay for.

Criminal Damage to Vehicle

An officer was dispatched to the 2600 block of Kingsway Avenue in reference to a complaint of criminal damage to motor vehicles at 7:06 a.m. on Feb. 23. The complainant advised that an unknown person broke a window on two of their vehicles while they were parked at their residence.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

An officer was dispatched to the 18900 block of Spring Creek at 9 a.m. on Feb. 14 in reference to a complaint of a burglary to motor vehicle. The complainant advised that an unknown person entered their unlocked vehicle while it was parked in their driveway and removed money.
