The last in a series of three classic car shows promises to be an exciting event. The shows, sponsored by Kappy's Restaurant, Monday Night Car Shows and the Morton Grove Economic Development Commission have brought together residents, business owners and classic car fans all summer long. For the final show the Niles Police Department will provide a demonstration of its K-9 Unit led by officer Marijo Zawilla and her dog "Odin". The demonstrations begin at 6:30 pm. The Niles North High School Drag Racing Team will display their race car project. A portion of the proceeds from the auction are donated by MNCS to the Niles North and Niles West High School automobile mechanics training programs. Music, raffles, an auction of automotive products and an outdoor barbecue are included in the event. Free registration for show cars begins at 5:00 pm and the show opens to the public at 6:00 pm. The show is located at the Village Plaza shopping center, Dempster Street and Harlem Avenue next to Kappy's in Morton Grove. There is still time to participate as a show sponsor or to donate a product or service for the auction.
