Special Interactive Event Featuring Darren LaCroix, 2001 World Champion of Public Speaking

Chicago-area residents will have the opportunity to learn from Darren LaCroix, 2001 World Champion of Public Speaking, about how to go from being a good speaker to a great one. The Niles Township Toastmasters Club will host a special, interactive event featuring LaCroix on Monday, June 11, 2012, from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the Auditorium of the Morton Grove Public Library, 6140 Lincoln Ave. There is no charge to attend, but registration is required and can be completed at http://darrenlacroix-6-11-2012.eventbrite.com

During the event, attendees will discover practical tips and techniques on how to become a stronger, more polished speaker, and will uncover three key characteristics of memorable speakers. In addition, participants will have an opportunity to present the opening of a speech and receive instant feedback from master coach LaCroix.

In 2001, LaCroix out-spoke 25,000 contestants from 14 countries to win the title of World Champion of Public Speaking. Since that victory, he has traveled the world demystifying the process of creating a powerful speech. He has motivated audiences with his inspirational journey from first-rate chump to first-class champ, proving anything is possible if you are willing to work for it. LaCroix is the author of Laugh & Get Rich, and the co-creator of the “How Professional Presenters can Own the Stage” learning system.
