Maine Township Hosts Record Breaking Garage Sale

The Maine Township Community Garage Sale held Sept. 28 hosted a record-breaking number of 80 vendors.  The near perfect weather helped push attendance to a new high of over an estimated 1,600 shoppers during the six-hour annual event.

Supervisor Carol Teschky said “thanks to the community for participating, to our sponsors for their support and to our dedicated staff for their tireless efforts in making the 2013 Community Garage Sale so successful.”

Proceeds benefit a MaineStay summer camp for disadvantaged youth and the Township’s emergency food pantry.
