McFun for Nelson School at the Niles McDonald's

On Thursday, January 14th, Nelson School held a very successful McTeacher’s Night at the McDonald’s in Niles on Milwaukee Ave. The restaurant was full of families supporting the school as well as waiting to see their teachers, and a visit from Ronald McDonald.

Teachers overtook the restaurant serving up delicious meals to students and families to raise money for the Nelson PTO. The McTeacher jobs included, greeting guests, cleaning the lobby, working the front counter, serving drinks, clearing tables, selling pies, serving ice cream, and even dressing up in a pie costume. Teachers working included: Lawson, Friedman, Claborn, Tews, Assistant Principal Harmon, Fragassi, Levine, Przewoznik, Daskalopoulos, Dahl, Valentine, Waller, Arvanitis, Stankowicz, Principal Dr. LeBlanc, Pavel, Parrello, Paloma, Goerner, and Diliberto.

Nelson McTeachers had it all covered, and the families enjoyed a spectacular evening. The Nelson PTO plans to use the money raised to go into the PTO fund to support the school. Lots of students, teachers, families and friends came out in their support. All the kids came to see their teachers work at the Niles McDonald’s. Many teachers shared the pie costume duties but McTeacher Justin Tews started the night as the Pie with the help of Libby Claborn and they did a fabulous job. Special thank-you goes to PTO dining out chair, Amy Seeley, who organized the entire event.
