Morton Grove Crime: Prostitution At Enya Spa, Stolen Car Recovered

Morton Grove police reports: March 22 - April 7

MORTON GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Morton Grove Police Department as a record of police activity. An arrest by the police does not constitute a finding of guilt but represents merely an accussation. Criminal charges are often dropped or reduced and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

PROSTITUTION

A 51-year-old woman, of the 8300 block of Callie in Morton Grove, was arrested for prostitution after grabbing and manipulating the genitalia of an undercover police officer at the Enya Spa on the 9200 block of Waukegan Road on March 23.

SUSPENDED LICENSE

A 20-year-old woman, of the 5800 block of Carol in Morton Grove was arrested after being stopped for traffic violation at Church and Marmora on April 1 and found to be driving while license suspended.

MARIJUANA POSSESSION

A 28-year-old man, of the 3900 block of Gregory in Northbrook, was stopped for a traffic violation at Dempster and Oak Park on April 4 when police detected a strong odor of cannabis. The cops discovered cannabis and issued a Morton Grove local citation

BURGLARY

A caller reported that someone used an unknown pry tool to force open the rear door to his residence and burglarize the home on April 3.

THEFT

A caller reported someone stole her flower pot off the front step and threw dirt onto her car on 9500 block of Harlem on April 3,

STOLEN CAR

A caller reported someone stole their Volkswagen CC from the 9000 block of Mango sometime overnight April 3-4. The vehicle was recovered and an arrest was made.

BURGLARY FROM CAR

A caller on the 9200 block of Parkside said someone ransacked his unlocked vehicle and stole loose change on April 4.

A caller said someone ransacked his unlocked vehicle in the 8800 block of Parkside on April 4, but it did not immediately appear anything had been taken.

A caller said someone entered his vehicle in the 9100 block of Major overnight on April 3-4 and stole 2 IPhone 4’s. The caller insisted he locked the vehicle.
