Morton Grove Man Dies in Motorcycle Accident
Paul Choi was struck by a Jeep while he was headed northbound on Sheridan Road in Wilmette on Saturday.

A Morton Grove man was killed on his motorcycle Saturday after he was hit by a Jeep Grand Cherokee on Sheridan Road near the south entrance to Gillson Park in Wilmette.
Police confirmed the identity of Paul I. Choi, 42, of the 5900 block of Capulina Ave. as the man driving the 2014 Harley Davidson Dyna Street Bob motorcycle shortly before 12:08 p.m. on Saturday. Choi was traveling northbound on Sheridan when the Jeep driven by 79-year-old Wilmette resident James S. Graves made a lefthand turn into Gillson Park, striking Choi.
Choi was taken to Evanston Hospital in critical condition and later died due to the injuries he sustained in the crash.

Graves was not injured, but a 78-year-old woman who was a passenger in the Jeep was hospitalized for non-incapacitating injuries.
The traffic crash remains under investigation by the Wilmette Police Department with the assistance of the Major Crash Assistance Team (MCAT), a component of North Regional Major Crimes Task Force (NORTAF). At this time, there is no indication of alcohol or drugs being a factor in the collision and charges are pending further investigation.
