Motorcyclist Dead After Crash With Pickup In Morton Grove

MORTON GROVE, IL — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a pickup truck in Morton Grove Thursday, police said. At about 7:40 p.m., officers were called to the 6100 block of North Oakton Street for a report of a traffic crash.

Police found a motorcycle and the pickup on the north side of the road, and the man who had been riding the motorcycle was unresponsive, according to Morton Grove Police Cmdr. Paul Yaras.

The motorcyclist was taken to Lutheran General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased, police said. His name was not released pending notification of family members.

The driver of the pickup truck is cooperating with police, and the investigation is ongoing, but there is currently no indication that intoxication was a factor in the crash, according to Yaras. (Sign up for our free daily newsletters and breaking news alerts from the Morton Grove Patch.)
