Probation Officer Traded Telephone Use for Lewd Photo of Juvenile: Indictment
Morton Grove resident Matthew Goebel was fired from Depke Juvenile Detention Center when investigation arose.

A former Lake County probation officer and juvenile counselor is accused of persuading one underage inmate at the Depke Juvenile Detention Center to pose for an explicit photograph and offering another to use a telephone in exchange for a similar photograph.
Matthew Goebel, 26, Morton Grove was indicted by a Lake County Grand Jury Wednesday on charges of possession and dissemination of child pornography, indecent solicitation of a child, grooming and official misconduct - the Lake County News-Sun reports.
Goebel, who had worked at Depke for several months, was fired from his position last fall after an investigation was initiated. He remains free after posting 10 percent of a $150,000 bail.
