This Weekend at the Niles Public Library

Stop by the Library this weekend for an active storytime, a family movie, and more!

Saturday, September 26:

10:00 am - 2:00 pm: Cutting Cable TV’s Chord: Internet TV for Beginners
There are numerous options for watching TV these days beyond cable or over-the-air. The experts from local technology company FireLogic will provide a hands-on lecture showing you how to take advantage of modern internet TV services like YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, SlingTV, and more. The class will target a variety of devices like laptops, tablets, set-top boxes, and game consoles.

10:00 am - 10:30 am: My Gym Playdate
My Gym is coming to the Niles Public Library for an active storytime! We’ll give your little ones a mental and physical workout. This storytime is brought to you by the Skokie My Gym. Registration required.

2:00 pm - 4:00 pm: Family Movie - Home
Drop in at 2:00 pm on the 4th Saturday of the month for a big movie and a little snack!

Sunday, September 27:

3:30 pm - 6:30 pm: Caldwell Woods Poetree
6350 W Devon, Chicago
The Niles Public Library presents some of the best tree poems written by many different poets. Read your favorites or write your own poem about trees and read it at their open mike. Activities for younger children will also be available. This event is part of Cook County’s Largest Tree Hug. Check http://fpdcc.com/100events/ for shuttle bus info.
