Under police supervision, a minor purchased tobacco products from at least five locations on July 15 and 16. Niles police declined to provide the names of the businesses, so Patch filed a Freedom of Information Act request and obtained the names and locations of every citation for selling alcohol and tobacco to minors in the Village of Niles in 2017. Fines assessed for the violations are generally $100.
