Wife of Elderly Man Killed by Snowplow Sues
The wife of Augustino Comella claims negligence against company that operated snowplow behind fatal accident in Morton Grove last year.

MORTON GROVE, IL - The wife of the elderly man killed by a snowplow in Morton Grove last winter is suing the plow company for negligence.
Eighty year-old Augustino Comella was clearing his driveway in the 9200 block of Ozark Street around on Decc. 29, 2015 when he was hit by plow operated by GEM Landscaping and Snow Removal.

Nearly a year later, his wife has filed a two-count suit in Cook County Circuit Court alleging negligence, NBC Chicago reports. She seeks $100,000 in damages.
The complaint states that Comella had been talking to the man at the wheel of the 2007 GMC Sierra pickup before the driver went in reverse and struck Comella while he was clearing snow off his driveway. Comella died at the scene.
