$120,000 in Louis Vuitton Goods Stolen in Fast Smash-and-Grab

Northbrook Court’s Louis Vuitton store was hit by thieves Tuesday morning at 4:53 a.m., crashing a car through three glass walls and scooping up about $120,000 in merchandise. They were in and out in 90 seconds, according to police.

“They fled on foot. Another vehicle was waiting,” Northbrook police spokesman Dan Petka told the Pioneer Press. There were as many as nine thieves, reports NBC Chicago.

By Tuesday afternoon, the windows were covered over with sheetrock and drapes so customers wouldn’t notice.

A similar smash and grab took place in Oak Brook in September at the Louis Vuitton store in Oakbrook Center. As many as eight masked men took part in that theft.
