2 Women Steal Shoes; DUI Drivers Crash, Stop Improperly: Blotter
Incidents and arrests from the Northbrook Police Department blotter from Jan. 25 to Feb. 7

NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department as a record of incidents reported to the police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
INCIDENTS
IDENTITY THEFTS
- A Dell Road resident reported around 10 a.m. on Jan. 26 that someone made an unauthorized withdrawal from a bank account.
- A Western Avenue resident reported around 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 27 that someone had used their identity to open up an unauthorized cellular account.
HOME BURGLARY
Officers were dispatched to the 4400 block of 4 Winds Lane by an activated burglar alarm. When they arrived they found the front door had been left open. It was not known if anything was stolen at the time of the report.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY
Staff at a restaurant in the 4100 block of Dundee Road reported discovering a broken front glass door. Officers learned an office had been burglarized between 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 2 and 5:48 a.m. on Feb. 3.
CAR BURGLARIES

- Someone stole keys and a wallet from a vehicle parked in the 900 block of Longaker Road, police were told around 8 a.m. on Feb. 5.
- Someone stole an unknown amount of change from a parked car in the 1000 block of Whitfield Road prior to 6 p.m. on Feb. 5.
ARRESTS
A 31-year-old Chicago man was arrested around 8:15 p.m. on Jan. 24 and charged with driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop in the area of Dundee and Midway roads. He was also ticketed for improper turn.
Lashaun Watson, 23, of the 7200 block of South Wood Street, Chicago, and Meosha Johnson, 22, of the 200 block of West 70th Street, Chicago, were arrested around 5 p.m. on Jan. 26 and charged with retail theft from the Saks Off Fifth at 127 Skokie Boulevard after staff reported they stole shoes.
Jeffrey Berlin, 57, of the 600 block of Dunsten Circle, Northbrook, was arrested around 11:15 p.m. on Jan. 26 and charged with driving under the influence and without insurance following an investigation into a traffic crash at the intersection of Waukegan and Dundee roads. He was also issued citations for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash and failure to yield while turning.
Randi S. Marino, 52, of the 4300 block of Phyllis Drive, Northbrook, was arrested around 11:15 p.m. on Feb. 1 in the 4100 block of Lake Cook Road and charged with DUI after police were called about a suspicious parked car. The officer made contact with the driver and determined she was impaired.
Landon M. Hudson, 34, of the 10100 block of South Morgan Street, Chicago, was arrested around 12:45 a.m. on Feb. 2 and charged with DUI following a traffic stop in the 700 block of Dundee Road. He was also issued two citations for improper lane usage and one for improper stopping in the roadway.
A 40-year-old Evanston man was arrested around 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 2 and charged with driving with a suspended license and without insurance after an officer saw him using a cell phone, pulled him over and ticketed him in the area of Shermer and Willow roads.
A 21-year-old Racine, Wisconsin, woman was arrested around 9 p.m. on Feb. 6 around Crabtree Road and Pfingsten Lane and charged with driving with a suspended license and without insurance. He was also issued a citation for not having a rear registration light.
