Attempts To Fill Prescriptions Using Resident's Identity: Blotter

Incidents and arrests from the Northbrook Police Department blotter from Jan. 18 to Jan. 24.

NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department as a record of incidents reported to the police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

INCIDENTS

THEFT
At 2:23 p.m. on Jan. 20, a resident in the 900 block of Bermuda Dunes Place reported someone had stolen their cellphone.

IDENTITY THEFT
A Revere Drive resident reported on the afternoon of Jan. 22 that they have been notified someone had been trying to use their identity to fill prescriptions in Glenview and Park Ridge.

CAR BURGLARY
Someone stole several power tools from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 700 block of Skokie Boulevard between 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 23.

ARRESTS

Andrei Maxim, 28, of the 5600 block of North Central Avenue, Chicago, was arrested around 3:30 a.m. on Jan. 21 following a traffic stop in the area of Dundee and Lee roads. He was charged with DUI and issued a citation for improper lane usage.
