4 Shoplift From Northbrook Court; 2 Arrested On Warrants: Blotter
Northbrook Police Blotter: May 4 to May 10

NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department as a record of incidents reported to the police and those arrested on criminal charges, which merely represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Just because someone gets arrested does not mean they will be found guilty of anything by a court of law.
INCIDENTS
FRAUD
A Keystone Road resident reported on the afternoon of May 4 that their bank had informed them that someone had cashed a fraudulent check from their account for an unspecified amount.

IDENTITY THEFT
A Big Oak Lane resident reported on the night of May 4 that someone had tried to withdraw money from an investment account but could not answer the security questions.
ATTEMPTED RING SALE
A Dorset Drive resident reported at 12:30 p.m. on May 5 that a man approached them while doing yardwork and tried to sell a ring for gas money. The deal was turned down and the man left.

EGGING
Someone reportedly threw eggs onto a parked vehicle in the 4000 block of Picardy Drive, police were told on the morning of May 7.
RETAIL THEFT
An employee of the Northbrook Court Lord & Taylor reported shortly before 9 p.m. on May 8 that four people – two described as male and two as female – stole unspecified clothing from the store in the 1400 block of Lake Cook Road and left in a vehicle.
CREDIT CARD FRAUD
A Techny Road resident came into the police station on the afternoon of May 9 to report that someone had made several fraudulent credit card charges for an unspecified amount.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
A 19-year-old Highwood man was arrested around 7 p.m. on May 4 near the intersection of Cherry Lane and Meadow Road and charged with driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop. He was also ticketed for failure to stop before entering a crosswalk.
A 31-year-old Northbrook man was arrested at 12:31 a.m. on May 5 near the intersection of Sunset Ridge Road and Forestway Drive and charged with driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop. He was also ticketed for not having insurance and using a cell phone while driving.
Tenika A. Wade, 25, of the 8600 block of Gregory Lane in Des Plaines, was taken into custody at 7:27 p.m. on May 6 on an active arrest warrant near the intersection of Skokie Boulevard and Lake Cook Road after an officer on patrol checked on a complaint of a suspicious vehicle and learned the owner had a bond forfeiture warrant.
A 28-year-old North Chicago man was arrested shortly before 9 p.m. on May 7 near the intersection of Skokie Boulevard and Sunset Ridge Road and charged with driving with a suspended license. He was also ticketed for running a stoplight.
Danika Mason, 23, of the 600 block of West Wellington Avenue in Chicago, was arrested at 12:10 a.m. on May 8 near the intersection of Skokie Boulevard and Dundee Road and charged with possession of under 30 gram of a controlled substance and driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop.
A 38-year-old Highwood man was arrested shortly after 10 p.m. on May 8 near the intersection of Lake Cook Road and Skokie Boulevard and charged with driving with a revoked license following a traffic stop. He was also ticketed for not having proof of insurance and failing to stop before entering a crosswalk.
Juan Alcantara-Reyes, 27, of the 7500 block of Elmhurst Road in Des Plaines, was arrested around 11 p.m. on May 8 on an active Cook County arrest warrant following a traffic stop at an unspecified location after he was pulled over for using a cell phone while driving.
A 38-year-old Saint Francis, Wisconsin man was arrested at 11:24 p.m. on May 8 near the intersection of Dundee and Shermer roads and charged with driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop. He was also ticketed for speeding and driving with no lights.
A 35-year-old Chicago man was arrested around 2 a.m. on May 9 near the intersection of Ash Lane and Dundee Road and charged with driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop. He was also ticketed for expired plates.
A 29-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 2:37 a.m. on May 9 near the intersection of Dundee and Lee roads and charged with driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop. He was also ticketed for not having insurance and having a loud muffler.
