Blogger Puzzled By "Blind Child Crossing" Sign

A Northbrook blogger has taken what is thought to be a tongue-and-cheek issue with a “Blind Child Crossing” sign on Landwehr Rd. near Techny Road.

According to a post on the ChicagoNow blog site, decade-long Northbrook resident Ed Hammerman says some things continue to irritate him.

“People shouldn’t think I am insensitive, even though I am, but sometimes little things bug the Hell out of me,” he writes.

Like the “Blind Child Crossing” sign.

“What the heck is taking so long?” he asks. “Twelve f---ing years and the kid still hasn’t made it across the intersection. You’d think by now someone would have noticed.”
