About Comprehensive Gastrointestinal Health, LLC
March is colon cancer awareness month! Come enjoy appetizers, wine, and a chance to reflect on gastrointestinal wellness and pick the brains of the comprehensive team at this new style of gastroenterology practice - Tara Troy, M.D. a gastroenterologist, as well as a nurse practitioner, registered dietitian nutritionist, behavioral coach/counselor, and licensed physical therapist/fitness consultant all focusing on optimizing GI health and overall wellness.
The comprehensive approach is particularly suited to address common but challenging conditions like:
- Irritable bowel syndrome (affects 15% of the population!)
- Inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis)
- Weight management
- Optimizing the gut microbiome
As well, the brand new deluxe endoscopy suite is designed to make the colon cancer screening process as easy, pleasant, and efficient as possible while maintaining the highest standards of quality. Although screening colonoscopies are critical, especially given the rising rate of colon cancer in younger people and the recent shift by the American Cancer Society to start screening at age 45, we also value education on ways to reduce the risks of developing colon polyps and colon cancer in the first place.
