Driver Follows Woman After Lewd Gesture: Northbrook Police Blotter
After blocking her vehicle with his, the other driver displayed what she thought was a badge and told her to wait for a squad car.

NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
ARRESTS
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
Evaristo D. Vazquez-Perez, of Round Lake Beach, is accused of driving under the influence, driving with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, no valid driver's license, illegal transportation of open alcohol, and was arrested at 11:37 p.m. Aug. 11, in the 900 block of Sutton Drive. Police responded to a vehicle stopped in the roadway and playing music loudly. A court of Sept. 27 was assigned.

RETAIL THEFT
Johnica Jones, of Chicago, is accused of retail theft, and was arrested at 6:57 p.m. Aug. 15, following an incident in the 1500 block of Lake Cook Road. Police said the staff at a retail establishment contacted the police department because they had Jones in custody for stealing a shirt. A court date of Sept. 14 was assigned.

NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
Branko Bogdanov, of Northbrook, is accused of no valid driver's license, defective headlight, and was arrested at 10:02 p.m. Aug. 15, in the 1700 block of Pfingsten Road. A court date of Sept. 7 was assigned.
SUSPENDED REGISTRATION
Jenezes Rodriguez, of North Chicago, is accused of having a suspended registration, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 9:59 p.m. Aug. 16, at Lake Cook Road and Constance Lane. A court date of Sept. 7 was assigned.

INCIDENTS
THEFT FROM VEHICLE
A customer reported at 3:05 p.m. Aug. 12, that while she shopped inside a store in the 700 block of Skokie Boulevard, someone stole the catalytic converter from her 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander.
FINANCIAL CRIME
A Picardy Drive resident called police at 4:43 p.m. Aug. 15, to report she noticed four unlawful withdrawals on her bank account. The money was sent to an online money processing center, Square Inc.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE
A person called police at 8:09 a.m. Aug. 16, to report she had been involved in a traffic altercation with another driver at Cherry and Cedar lanes. After honking her horn and making a lewd gesture at the other driver, she noticed that he had followed her to a parking space at her destination. After blocking her vehicle with his, the other driver displayed what she thought was a badge and told her to wait for a police squad car to respond. The complainant said the other driver eventually left the area. The complainant described the other driver as male, 50 - 60 years of age, wearing a black polo shirt and tan shorts.
DEATH INVESTIGATION
While on the scene of a separate ambulance call in the 200 block of Skokie Boulevard, police were advised at 10:34 a.m. Aug. 16, that a patient had passed away after life-saving measures were preformed. There were no signs of foul play.
THEFT
- A resident in the 600 block of Greenwood Road reported at 10:15 a.m. Aug. 17, multiple people have been coming in to her backyard to steal apples and black currant berries off her trees over the last four years.
- A resident in the 4100 block of Dundee Road called police at 11:28 a.m. Aug. 17, to report on various dates in July and August, someone has been stealing the donation boxes she has left on her porch for pickup.
- A resident in the 3100 block of Moon Hill Drive reported at 8:20 a.m. Aug. 18, various pieces of jewelry are missing from her closet since July. She said she has had various delivery people and housekeeping staff working at her house.
