Driver Involved In 2 Separate Accidents: Northbrook Police Blotter
Police said the driver, who resides in Nebraska, was involved in car accidents in both Northbrook and Wilmette.

NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
ARRESTS
HIT AND RUN CRASH
Ashlyn L. Anson, of Omaha, Nebraska, is accused of criminal damage to property, reckless driving, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 7:08 p.m. Oct. 27, in the 2200 block of Royal Ridge Drive. Officers responded to a report of an auto crash. Once they arrived, the officers spoke to several witnesses that said a gray Toyota crashed through a gate and fled northbound on Waukegan Road. Wilmette police responded to an auto crash with a vehicle matching the description of the vehicle that fled the scene in Northbrook. Northbrook officers responded to Wilmette and spoke to the driver, Anson. Anson admitted to crashing through the gate in Northbrook and driving away. A court date of Nov. 14 was assigned.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
Jon Sands, of Morton Grove, is accused of failure to use turn signals when required, driving under the influence, and was arrested at 11:47 p.m. Oct. 29, at Landwehr and Willow roads. Police saw a silver Ford fail to use its turn signals while changing lanes and was hesitant to accelerate at a green light. The officer stopped the vehicle. A court date of Nov. 15 was assigned.

WARRANT SERVICE
Ja'Coby D. Martin, of Atlanta, Georgia, had a warrant out of Georgia for battery and false imprisonment, and was arrested at 5:32 p.m. Oct. 31, in the 2200 block of Carlson Drive. He was taken to Cook County Jail pending an extradition hearing.
THEFT
Sharon B. Lewis, of Chicago, is accused of theft, and was arrested at 9 a.m. Nov. 2, in the 2600 block of Illinois Road. Detectives spoke to Lewis regarding thefts at her workplace. She admitted to stealing jewelry from her employer, according to police. A court date is pending her next bond hearing.
SPEEDING
An Avon, Indiana man is accused of speeding (72 mph in a 45 mph zone), and was cited at 12:21 p.m. Nov. 3, at Dundee and Waukegan roads. A court date of Nov. 30 was assigned.

INCIDENTS
FLEE OR ELUDE
Police saw a red motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed (65 mph in a 45 mph zone) at 1:02 p.m. Oct. 29, at Waukegan and Voltz roads. The officer activated his lights and sirens, but the motorcycle accelerated and fled. The neighboring jurisdictions were notified with the description of the violator.
BURGLARY
A resident in the 1300 block of Edgewood Lane reported at 2:38 p.m. Oct. 29, someone had broken out two windows in the rear of the residence and stole items from inside the cabinets throughout the first floor.
RETAIL THEFT
The staff at a store in the 1500 block of Lake Cook Road called police at 10:12 a.m. Oct. 31, to report thefts that occurred on Oct. 26. They said a male and a female came into the store and stole two watches from the display.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
A resident in the 2100 block of Foxglove Drive reported at 8:36 p.m. Nov. 1, someone entered their condo unit and stole several pieces of jewelry and cash. No forced entry was used.
