Knife Displayed During Road Rage Argument: Northbrook P.D. Blotter
Neither of the people involved wanted to sign complaints against each other, according to police.

NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
ARRESTS
VIOLATION OF AN ORDER OF PROTECTION
Jason K. Stone, of Northbrook, had an active warrant out of Northbrook for a violation of an order of protection regarding an incident that occurred on Aug. 24, and was arrested at 5:03 p.m. Aug. 24. A court date of Sept. 7 was assigned.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
Bradley W. Carlton, of Key West, Florida, is accused of driving under the influence, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, speeding, improper lane usage, and was arrested at 2:51 a.m. Aug. 27, in the 300 block of Waukegan Road. A court date of Sept. 21 was assigned.

WARRANTS
Officers responded to the area of Skokie Boulevard and Dundee Road at 3:46 p.m. Aug. 27, for a report of a possible stolen car. Two people walking toward the parked car were identified as having driven it. Bryanna D. Moore, of Chicago, had an active warrant out of Grundy County for driving with a suspended license. Tremell I. Brown, of Chicago, had an active warrant out of Lake County, Indiana, for theft. Both were arrested. The Evanston Police Department was contacted regarding the car, since it had been fraudulently purchased there.

INCIDENTS
ROAD RAGE
Police responded to a store parking lot in the 1100 block of Church Street at 3:29 p.m. Aug. 25, regarding two people arguing. Police were told one of the subjects displayed a pocket knife during the argument. Once the officers arrived, both subjects had already stopped arguing, but did tell police it was regarding a road rage incident. Neither of the subjects involved wanted to sign complaints against each other and apologized prior to leaving the area.
RETAIL THEFT
The loss prevention staff at a store in the 100 block of Skokie Boulevard reported at 2:06 p.m. Aug. 27, that they saw a person steal clothing from the store. They stopped them just outside the exit. The person was allegedly using a fake name, but a fingerprint inquiry revealed his real name and he was charged with retail theft. A court date of Sept. 28 was assigned.
COMPUTER FRAUD
An Indian Wells Lane resident called police at 9:05 a.m. Aug. 25, to report he had received an alert on his computer indicating the antivirus software needed an update. Even though he never had that software on his computer, he called the number as instructed. The operator was allowed to remotely take over his computer. The complainant’s brokerage firm contacted him, saying someone was trying to move $90,000 from his account. The brokerage firm stopped the fraudulent activity and the complainant disconnected from the unknown subject on the phone.
THEFT
- A citizen reported at 5:16 p.m. Aug. 29, her and her husband's wallets were taken while staying at a local hotel in the 900 block of Skokie Boulevard. The credit cards that were in the wallets were fraudulently used at a gas station and a fast food restaurant outside of Northbrook.
- A citizen called police at 11:13 a.m. Aug. 31, to report she had visited a park in the 1100 block of Sanders Road to play tennis with her children. Since all the courts were full, she parked her baby stroller and racquets by a tree and went for a walk. When she returned, she realized someone had taken the stroller and racquets.
FLEE AND ELUDE
The Buffalo Grove Police Department contacted Northbrook at 7:47 p.m. Aug. 30, saying they were involved in a fleeing and eluding incident with a 2001 Honda Accord. Northbrook police responded to the area of Pfingsten Road and Maria Avenue where the car had been traveling. An officer saw the vehicle and attempted to stop it. The vehicle accelerated to a high rate of speed and left the area.
