Lymphomas and CLL Research Presented at Road to a Cure

Nearly 100 participants attended the 2nd Annual “Road to a Cure: The Latest Developments in Blood Cancer Research,” hosted by the Leukemia Research Foundation (LRF) at Cancer Wellness Center in Northbrook, Ill. on Wednesday, May 2. Information about lymphomas, chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), CAR T-cell therapy, and checkpoint blockade therapy were among the topics presented by Dr. Justin Kline, Assistant Professor of Medicine at University of Chicago Medicine.

Doctor Kline's laboratory focuses on overcoming barriers to immune resistance mechanisms in tumors. He develops models in mice to improve immune-mediated rejection of cancer that can be translated into clinical trials for patients with advanced malignancies. His research was supported by the Leukemia Research Foundation during the 2010/2011 funding cycle.
