NORTHBROOK, IL — For nearly 30 years, the student council at Maple School has been collecting toys as part of its annual holiday toy drive. The Learning Stairs were stacked with hundreds of holidays gifts Thursday, destined for Youth Services of Glenview and Northbrook.

"Thank you so much to Maple School and the Student Council with co-sponsors Lynn Reimer and Iris Zhang," Youth Services team member Lisa Hanneman said in a news release. "The Youth Services Holiday Gift program serves more than 630 local children to ensure their holiday wishes and winter essentials are provided. We do this with donor and community support. We so appreciate the generosity of the whole District 30 community."

The Youth Services team of five individuals helped students, teachers, and administrators carry and load the gifts into their cars for transport. They included Lisa Hanneman, Amy O’Leary, Michelle Brody, Erin Miller, and Jennifer Fitch, according to the news release.
