Democratic voters across Illinois’ 10th Congressional District, including Northbrook residents, will be deciding in the March 17 primary whether to re-elect longtime incumbent Brad Schneider or nominate challenger Morgan Coghill to represent the district in Congress.

Schneider, of Highland Park, has served six terms in Congress and currently serves as a senior member of the House Ways and Means Committee and chair of the New Democrat Coalition. He also sits on the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

Coghill, a Mundelein resident and a small business owner, is running as a progressive populist and political outsider.
