• Northfield Township Road District Approves 4.6% Levy Reduction, First Tax Cut in Three Decades (suburbanchicagoland.com) — Northbrook residents in unincorporated areas of Northfield Township will see a 4.6% cut in the Road District tax levy for the 2027 property tax year, the first reduction in more than 30 years. After a detailed budget review, the Board unanimously agreed services can be maintained while easing the property tax burden on homeowners.
   

• $8.15M Land Purchase Moves South Glenview Flood-Control Project Forward (patch.com) — A major flood-control project based out of Northbrook has taken a big step forward with an $8.15 million land purchase for a stormwater detention basin serving South Glenview. The Central Road Flood Control Project will add new storm sewers and a 16-acre basin designed to protect about 130 homes and keep key roads open during heavy storms, benefiting Northfield Township residents, including many Northbrook commuters.
