Pulitzer Prize Nominee and Noted Lecturer Among Presenters Discussing Growing Up Jewish in Foreign Countries
A Pulitzer Prize nominee and a noted lecturer are among the presenters who will discussing growing up Jewish in foreign countries this month.
The series "Where in the World? Growing Up Jewish in Faraway Lands" is hosted by Hadassah Chicago-North Shore Chapter. The 5-session summer camp will highlight the experiences of Jewish culture in various countries.
All sessions take place every Wednesday in July at 10:00 a.m. at Lakeside Congregation, 1221 County Line Road in Highland Park.

- The camp kicks off July 2 with a talk by Northwestern Professor Yohanan Petrovsky-Shtern, an author who has been nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. Shtern will present “Becoming Jewish and the Collapse of the USSR and Did the Shtetl Have Its Golden Age?”
