Techny Prairie Park and Fields Voted Best Staycation Destination

Northbrook Patch readers voted as the best staycation destination in town in this week’s installment of our Readers’ Choice series.

This gem of the Northbrook Park District was the overwhelming favorite, taking 44 percent of the vote. It is not difficult to understand why someone would want to make a day trip to the park. With batting cages, athletic fields, fishing spots, a skate park, a nine-hole golf course, a sled hill, trails, playgrounds and public grills, there is more than enough to keep active.

finished in a distant second, with 18 percent of the vote, and and tied for third place, each garnering 11 percent.
