Truffles the Bear is Latest Addition to Northbrook Library

Popular mascot outside Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in Park Ridge will be moved inside Northbrook library.

Truffles the Bear, the long-time mascot of the former Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in Park Ridge, has found a new home at the Northbrook Public Library.

The popular mascot was a gift to the Library’s children’s department from Linda Hills, who owned the Chocolate Factory for eight years before closing it recently, the Northbrook Star reports.

Hills had originally wanted Truffles to be donated to the Park Ridge library to remain in the community, but officials there said there was no room for him.

It’s not yet sure where in the Northbrook library he will be put. Officials there say they may move him around for awhile until they found a spot where he is noticed the most.
