Woman Charged With DUI Had More Than 3 Times Legal Limit: Blotter

Incidents and arrests from the Northbrook Police Department blotter from Dec. 6 to Dec. 12.

NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department as a record of incidents reported to the police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

INCIDENTS

SHOPLIFTING
Staff at the Walgreens in the 1000 block of Waukegan Road reported around 5:45 p.m. on Dec. 6 that they saw an unidentified man put various unspecified items in a bag and run out of the store.

THEFT
An employee of a chemical manufacturer in the 1100 block of Skokie Boulevard reported that someone stole four tools that had been rented for construction work between Nov. 26 and Dec. 1.

WALLET THEFT
A shopper at the Home Goods in the 800 block of Willow Road reported around 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 7 that someone stole their wallet from their cart while shopping.

THEFT
A resident of the 4300 block of Phyllis Drive reported around 1:15 p.m. on Dec. 1 that $300 was missing after they hired a cleaning service to clean the house.

CAR BURGLARY
Someone burglarized an unlocked car in the 400 block of Pebblebrook Road between 8 p..m. on Dec. 10 and 8 a.m. on Dec. 11, stealing a garage door opener.


ARRESTS

A 47-year-old Chicago women was arrested around 2:41 a.m. on Dec. 11 following a traffic stop in the area of Dundee Road and Juniper Lane and charged with driving with a suspended license. She was also ticketed for improper lane usage.

Inga Jackson, of the 2000 block of Walters Avenue, Northbrook, was arrested around 2:15 p.m. on Dec. 12 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or greater after officers were called to a report of a property damage accident and determined the driver was impaired. She produced a breath sample indicating her blood alcohol concentration was more than three times the legal limit and was also issued citations for not having proof of insurance and failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash.
