• Stolen Ford Transit U-Haul Van Stopped With Grappler: Video (fordauthority.com subscription) — Oak Brook police recently used a new Grappler device to safely stop a fleeing Ford Transit U-Haul van on I-294 after a burglary call, ending a chase without injuries. The tool, in service for about a month, snagged a rear wheel after spike strips failed, leading to felony fleeing and drug-related charges for the occupants.
