7-Eleven Robbed in Oak Forest

A man with pepper spray stole $150 from the store on Central Avenue.

OAK FOREST, IL - A 7-Eleven store in Oak Forest was robbed by a man with pepper spray last week.

The man came into the store in the 14700 block of Central Avenue on March 21 and demanded an employee hand over money from the cash register while waving a can of pepper spray, according to a Daily Southtown report. The report indicates he had his only hand in his pocket, implying a weapon.

After he took about $150, the crook sprayed the counter with the pepper spray as a way to delay the victim from calling police. Police were delayed again when they responded to the wrong gas station on the block.
