Armed Intruder: 'Shut Up Or I Will Kill You'

An Oak Forest woman was attacked Saturday after she interrupted a burglary in her apartment.

The woman, 33, told police she entered her apartment in the 15800 block of Le Claire Avenue and found the entry light off in her kitchen. When she flipped the switch, a man grabbed her from behind and shoved a handgun in her face.

He told her to “shut the (expletive) up or I will kill you,” she told police. He then shoved her out of the way and fled through the front door. The victim went out in the hallway, where she waited until a neighbor called police.

Officers found the suspect had ransacked every room, making off with several pieces of jewelry and about $500 in cash.
