Bremen Student Named Partner of the Quarter at Local Starbucks

Bremen High School applauds Gisela Castillo Regalado for showing the community what it means to be a Bremen Brave

Bremen High School was proud to learn that one of its students had gone above and beyond in their workplace after school. Gisela Castillo Regalado was named "Partner of the Quarter" at the local Starbucks in Oak Forest where she works.

She was awarded this title for always picking up extra shifts, covering shifts, and making the best effort to keep her store clean.

"The award actually means a lot to me," says Regalado. "I really value all the friendships I have made through my workplace. It's nice to know that even the little things I do at work don't go unnoticed."

Gisela not only tries to help her workers by picking up extra shifts and impressing customers by keeping the store clean, but she is also a bilingual barista. This special skill set allows her to help Spanish speakers with their orders.

"I have noticed by speaking two languages I can communicate with ease," says Regalado. "I am currently working on a third language which is French. I have studied French for three years so far at Bremen High School and was taught by Mrs. Chelepis. While I can read and speak French at a sufficient level, I am aiming on becoming fluent. I feel that speaking more than one language can open so many doors and opportunities."

Gisela's award hangs in the store in the back area where employees come in and get ready to start their shifts. As a Partner, she was also invited to go to the city and help employees at the new Chicago Starbucks Roastery get settled.

You can visit Gisela at the Oak Forest Starbucks off of 159th and Cicero when she's not at school. She's sure to greet your with a smile and the Bremen Brave spirit.
