Driver In Oak Forest Crash Took His Own Life: Police

A 28-year-old Ohio man died by self-inflicted gunshot wound Wednesday.

OAK FOREST, IL — A man found dead in a car following a two-car crash on 159th and Cicero Wednesday died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Oak Forest police said Friday.

Fred Nayou, 28, of Cincinnati, Ohio was pronounced dead at the scene the morning of August 3, after police were called to the scene of the crash. The Cook County Medical Examiner determined August 4 that Nayou died by gunshot.

The OFPD Investigations Division is still investigating the vehicle accident with the Suburban Major Accident Reconstruction Team.
