Man In Van Tried To Lure Student: APMS Email
Parents reported receiving an email stating that a man in a white van approached a student after school Thursday.

OAK FOREST, IL — Parents at Arbor Park Middle School received an email from school staff regarding a report of an attempted child luring attempt near the school on Thursday. Arbor Park Principal David Evans said school staff learned of the incident on Friday, and immediately sent a letter to parents as well as requesting the presence of Oak Forest police during school dismissal time.
According to the email, the Cook County Sheriff's office notified the school that a student was walking on Christopher Drive at around 3:30 p.m. when he was approached by a man with a "man bun." The van was described as an older model, possibly a Volkswagen.
The man reportedly asked the student to get in the van and help him find his puppy. The student refused, and the man asked the student to enter the van to play video games and play with puppies, according to the email. The student reportedly ran.
"Please remind students to walk directly home from school and to refrain from speaking to strangers," the email said. "We want everyone to be safe."
